Now she must balance high school drama, the usual freshman problems and the dark memories bubbling up from the past. I'll confess I am obsessed with writing things just wright.
I edit every morning and deep into the night.
When I'm not rewriting, I must admit it's true,
I'll critique the work of others, maybe even you.
This isn't a real problem til you take a second look.
The thing is I can't turn it off to read a published book.
I won't read romance novels, perhaps I'm just a snob?
But it seem to me their editor's just don't do their job.
I'll be itching to rewrite the first and second page,
It's hard to find great books for people of my age.
How can they say so little in 300,000 words?
And all those cliche endings are simply for the birds.
I'd read books for grownups if they had a good selection.
But it seems to me the best ones are in the kiddy section.
So, reading children's books is weird if you’re an adult,
But to cope with my compulsion this is the end result.
